Men's Tennis Falls, 8-1, to Mount St. Joseph in Opener

(CINCINNATI, Ohio) - The Thomas More College men's tennis team fell, 8-1, to across-the-river rival, the College of Mount St. Joseph today (Saturday, March 15, 2014) in its season opener at the Mount Courts in Cincinnati, Ohio.

With the loss the Saints are 0-1 and with the win, the Lions improve to 4-1.

Freshman Jared Justice (Mason, Ohio/Mason) earned the Saints' lone point as he won 6-3, 3-6, 10-2 at No. 2 singles.  Senior Tim Rice (Fort Mitchell, Ky./Covington Catholic) forced a third set at No. 4 singles before falling 6-4, 3-6, 10-7 and senior Ben Millman (Paducah, Ky./Community Christian) forced a third set at No. 5 singles before falling, 6-1, 4-6, 11-9.

The Saints return to action next Saturday (March 22) when they host Grove City College at 2 p.m. at the Western Racquet Club in Cincinnati, Ohio.
