(KISSIMMEE, Fla.) - The Thomas More College softball team fell to Aurora University and Bluffton University on Wednesday (March 6, 2013) on the third day of the Rebel Spring Games at the Osceola County Softball Complex in Kissimmee, Florida.
With the losses, the Saints fall to 2-4 on the season.
In the first game of the day, Thomas More fell, 4-3, to Aurora in nine innings.
Bluffton won game two, 4-2, as it scored one run in the second, one in the third and one in the sixth, while holding Thomas More to one in the second and one in the fifth.
Junior third baseman Alex Walter (Lebanon, Ohio/Lebanon) led the team at the plate as she was two-for-three with a run scored and sophomore second baseman Hannah Curtis (Cincinnati, Ohio/Colerain) was one-for-three with a run scored.
Junior pitcher Ronni Burns (Dayton, Ohio/Carroll) suffered the loss in the circle as she pitched six innings and gave up three runs (two earned) on five hits and struck out four, while walking five.
Thomas More returns to action tomorrow (Thursday, March 7) when it plays Presentation College at 9 a.m. and Illinois College at 11 a.m. at the Osceola County Softball Complex in Kissimmee.
