No. 8 Saints Play to a 0-0 Draw at Case Western Reserve

(CLEVELAND, Ohio) – The eighth-ranked Thomas More College women's soccer team and Case Western Reserve University played to a 0-0 double overtime tie on Sunday (September 6, 2015) at DiSanto Field in Cleveland, Ohio.

With the tie, the Saints and Spartans are both 1-0-1.

Thomas More out-shot Case Western Reserve, 9-8, but the Spartans had a 4-2 advantages in shots-on-goal.  Case Western Reserve also won the battle of corner kicks, 5-4.

Junior goalkeeper Megan Barton (Florence, Ky./Villa Madonna) earned the shutout as she played all 110-minutes in goal and recorded three saves.

Thomas More returns to action on Wednesday (September 9) when it travels to Columbus, Ohio to play Capital University.  Kick-off is scheduled for 5 p.m. at Bernlohr Stadium.
