(GREENCASTLE, Ind.) – The Thomas More women's track and field team traveled to Greencastle, Ind. today to compete in the DePauw Classic. The Saints had eight top-eight performances and finished in eighth place overall.
On the track side of the meet, the Saints had five top-eight performances. Christina Cook placed first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 58.54. Jessi Urichich and Maggie Harris followed in the 400-meter dash with Urichich coming in sixth with a time of 1:04.93 and Harris coming in seventh with a time of 1:06.00. In the 200-meter dash, Mackenzie Hester placed seventh with a time of 28.57. Closing out the top-eight performances on the track, Dakota Sicurella placed eighth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.80.
Over on the field, the Saints had three top-eight performances. Allison Gribben placed eighth in the shot-put event, with a distance of 10.78-meters. Sicurella placed in two field events, eighth in the long jump with a distance of 4.25-meters and second in the triple jump with a distance of 9.45-meters.
The Saints compete next on February 22 as they travel to Youngstown, Ohio for the PAC indoor championships.
